Code of Ethics

At CranioSacral Ireland, we are committed to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards in the practice of Craniosacral Therapy. The following principles guide the conduct of all registered therapists:

  • Client safety and wellbeing come first.
  • Therapists practise with integrity, honesty, and respect.
  • Clients are treated with sensitivity, care, and without judgement.
  • Informed consent is essential. Clients have the right to understand and choose their treatment.
  • Confidentiality is respected. Personal information is handled with care and only shared when legally or ethically necessary.
  • Boundaries are maintained. Professional relationships are based on trust and must never be exploited.
  • Therapists stay within their scope of practice. They do not undertake work they are not trained or qualified to do.
  • Referrals are made when needed. Therapists acknowledge when another professional’s support would better serve the client.
  • Therapists are committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Practitioners do not make unrealistic claims or misrepresent Craniosacral Therapy or their qualifications.
  • Respect for diversity. Clients are treated equally regardless of age, gender, background, or beliefs.
  • Professional conduct applies online and offline. Therapists manage their digital presence responsibly, especially where boundaries and client privacy are concerned.
  • Concerns and complaints are taken seriously. Therapists respond promptly, constructively, and transparently.

By adhering to these principles, our members maintain public trust, uphold the reputation of Craniosacral Therapy, and ensure clients receive care that is safe, ethical, and effective.
