What Qualification Certificate does the CranioSacral Ireland recognise and accept for Membership?

A qualification certificate from an CranioSacral Ireland recognised CST school is required for membership. A Paeditatric Certificate is required if you wish to be reigistered as a Paediatric member.
The following CST schools are currently recognised by CranioSacral Ireland, with some already accredited and others in the process of accreditation:
- Body College
- Milne Institute
- Upledger Institute Ireland
If you have a qualification from a school outside of Ireland that is accredited by a Craniosacral Therapy association of similar standing — such as the Craniosacral Therapy Association (CSTA) — you may be eligible for membership with CranioSacral Ireland.
Other schools which have gained CranioSacral Ireland membership eligibility include Karuna Institute, Craniosacral Educational Trust to name a few.

Can I start the application process while I wait for a certificate?

Yes, you can begin the application process while awaiting an updated certificate. However, please note that:

You will not be listed on the Therapist Finder
You will not be able to download your Membership Certificate

These benefits will only become available once all required certificates are uploaded and approved.

Please also note: the Therapist Finder is available to Full Members only.

What should I do if my certificate is in date at time of application but expires during the membership year?

If your certificate is valid at the time of your membership application but expires during the membership year, it is your responsibility to renew and upload an updated version to your CranioSacral Ireland account before the expiry date.

The membership platform will send you a reminder email before your certificate expires, but it remains your responsibility to ensure all required documentation is current.

Keeping your certificates up to date ensures:

Your membership remains in good standing
Your insurance remains valid
Your profile stays live on the Therapist Finder

If a required certificate is not renewed and uploaded in time, your profile will be automatically removed from the Therapist Finder until the updated documentation is received.

We recommend keeping a record of renewal dates and acting promptly when reminders are received.

Do I get a refund if my application is not successful?

Garda Vetting fees are nonrefundable. An Administration fee of €40 will be applied if an application is unsuccessful.
