Scarwork in Craniosacral Practice: Releasing Fascial Restrictions and Addressing the Deeper Imprints Held in the Tissue
Scars are not simply surface marks of healing. They can influence the wider fascial network, affect movement and posture, and sometimes hold unresolved physiological or emotional patterns within the body.Because scars can affect the body in multiple ways—structurally, neurologically, and emotionally—they are an important yet often
overlooked aspect of therapeutic practice.
Developing the skills to recognise and work with them allows craniosacral therapists to address the whole person, acknowledging the profound and far-reaching impact scars may have on the body. This webinar explores the depth and significance of working with scar tissue through an integration of Scarwork and Craniosacral Therapy. By approaching scars with sensitivity and awareness, practitioners can support the release of restrictions, the release of held trauma in the tissues, restore fluid continuity, and invite greater integration throughout the system.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Connect with how scars can affect the fascial and craniosacral systems, and understand how to approach them with sensitivity and presence.
- Recognize the signs of unresolved scar trauma in the body.
- To understand foundational principles of Scarwork and how they complement CST. -Learn how to apply basic techniques for assessing and supporting scar tissue in your biodynamic practice
