This webinar will be presented as a Q&A style presentation, working through case studies and the themes of Aware Parenting & Integrative Baby Therapy (Matthew Appleton). Sara & Ali are co-facilitators of Heartfelt Parenting Groups.
This presentation will combine Sara’s passion for pre and perinatal psychology that began in 1989, which led to her training in Craniosacral Therapy in 2015, as well as Ali’s experience as a mother, Home Birth Midwife & now Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist.
It will be a rich opportunity for practitioners to reflect on their role within the Parent and Baby constellation in their clinical settings.
About the Presenters
Sara Devoy
Since 1990 Sara has been fascinated by cutting-edge research that points to how early imprints, from in-utero, birth and postpartum, deeply inform and shape us. Although she works with all stages and ages she has a particular passion for parent and baby work.
” Our first welcome impacts our nervous system, self-esteem, capacity to learn and build relationships,” says Sara. Her Craniosacral work orients us to oxytocin moments and our original aliveness and potency.
Sara has three grown-up children and works from her home in Rosscarbery West Cork. She has trained with William Emerson in Switzerland, Matthew Appleton in the Uk and as an Aware parenting instructor and as a Traumatic Birth Rewind Practitioner. She offers Birth recovery sessions online for parents and babies.
She wrote a chapter on the baby’s perspective of birth for the Irish Birth Movements book Giving Birth in Ireland and loves hosting programmes for the online platform, Our Birth Journey in the UK.
Ali Boylan
Ali is a Woman, Mother, Homebirth Midwife and Biodynamic Craniosacral therapist.
Ali birthed 3 of her 4 children at home in the 2000’s and is now enjoying extended parenting!! Which has evolved from protection to presence.
Ali has been caring for women and receiving babies at home since 2019. Throughout this time she was always recommending her clients to have body work in preparation for birthing and also & always in the postnatal period to ease out of the birth story.
Realising her knowing Ali enrolled with Body College Galway and qualified as a BCST in 2024. Her work in the MotherBaby dyad is expanding beyond her dreams.
Ali is now working along side Sara Devoy helping facilitate Heartfelt parenting groups. Although at times Ali feels like an infant in this field she hold on to her innate knowing, ancient wisdom and her tried and tested, failed & repaired parenting over 25 years to support parents in their journeys to happier and more fulfilling parenting.
