Presented by Erica McKeen RCST MCSP
19 June 2025 | 7:00pm
We are pleased to welcome Erica McKeen for this insightful and timely webinar exploring Craniosacral Therapy (CST) as an integrative approach to concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
Webinar Focus
This webinar will address the complexities and challenges associated with treating post-concussion patients.
Concussions and mTBIs can have profound, life-altering impacts on professional, family, and social functioning. Despite often showing normal imaging results, many individuals are left with persistent symptoms and are advised to resume regular activities — leaving them feeling frustrated and helpless.
Erica will explore how BCST, combined with Polyvagal theory and the latest research in concussion, can support practitioners in identifying dysfunction and facilitating recovery.
Key Learning Outcomes
- The biomechanics and pathophysiology of concussion trauma mTBI
- The cascade of events in the brain following injury
- The broader systemic effects on tissues, fluids, and potency
- Clinical red flags and predisposing factors for Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS)
- A comprehensive CST treatment guide to support healing
About the Presenter Erica McKeen
Erica McKeen is a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST) with a background in physiotherapy, practising for over 20 years with a specialisation in myofascial release.
She has a keen interest in concussion and mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), which became the focus of her BCST research project and continues to shape her ongoing studies and clinical work. Erica is passionate about exploring how BCST can support recovery in this area.
In May 2024, she was invited to speak at the HeadFirst Conference: Connecting the Dots in London, where she shared how BCST works with the body’s innate resources to support healing in individuals with traumatic brain injury.
