Breathe, Release & Restore
A day of self-care, wellbeing and connection for CranioSacral Ireland members
CranioSacral Ireland is delighted to announce an in-person wellness day for members, taking place at the Connacht Hotel on Sunday 17 May, from 10.00am to 4.30pm.
This low-cost, subsidised event will be facilitated for CranioSacral Ireland member Josef Steiner. It promises to be a nourishing and supportive day for our community, offering an opportunity to come together, resource ourselves, and deepen connection through shared practice and self-care.
During the day, participants will experience Trauma/Tension Release Exercises (TRE), Soma Breath practices, and a number of table exchange sessions, where therapists can treat and support one another in a safe and collegial environment.

Soma Breath
Soma Breath is a powerful breathwork and meditation practice that combines rhythmic breathing patterns with breath retention to bring the body and mind into states of deep coherence and relaxation.
The practice integrates ancient yogic breathing techniques with modern scientific understanding. Guided breathing sequences are often synchronised with music and rhythm, helping regulate the nervous system, enhance focus and access deep meditative states while supporting emotional balance and wellbeing.
TRE – Trauma or Tension Release Exercises
TRE is a simple yet powerful method designed to release deep patterns of stress and tension held in the body. Developed by Dr. David Berceli, the exercises gently activate the body’s natural tremor mechanism.
These neurogenic tremors are a natural biological response that help discharge accumulated stress and allow the nervous system to return to a more balanced and regulated state. Once learned, TRE can become a valuable self-care practice that supports resilience, relaxation and nervous system health.
Facilitator Bio – Josef Steiner
